Bolt and Blake Win Gold and Silver at 2012 Summer Olympics

In February of 2009, Dixie Lee sponsored the Camperdown Classic Men’s 400 Meter race. The race was held in Kingston, Jamaica. Usain Bolt and Yohan Blake participated, finishing with 46.80 seconds and 46.35 seconds, Bolt taking first place and Blake taking second. Dixie Lee had the pleasure of awarding the first, second and third place trophies to the three men, Bolt, Blake and White.

At this years 2012 Summer Olympics in London, Usain Bolt took home two gold medals, one in the 100 meter and one in the 200 meter. Bolt has won six Olympic gold medals to date, and is regarded as the fastest man alive.

Just behind Bolt, was Yohan Blake taking the silver medals in both the 100 meter and 200 meter. Blake, nicknamed “The Beast” is the fourth fastest runner on the planet at just 22 years old.
